Mini Cricket

Mini Cricket

For Mini Cricket (reception and year one) please DO NOT register on the CDCC website / with Pitchero.

Mini Cricket sessions are run by Thames Valley Cricket Academy (Director - Jon Stewart) separately to the main colts sessions at CDCC.

All parents MUST email Jon on info@tvca.co.uk to reserve a place.
We are very sorry but NO-ONE can turn up on the day without registering as these sessions are normally over-subscribed and a waiting list in operation.

The mini cricket sessions run on Friday evenings from 26th April (1 week after the main CCDC colts sessions commence).
The first session is a taster and no payment is required until after this date. (Jon will be in contact with payment details - payment is NOT made through the CDC website)
Timings as follows:

Reception - 3.50pm to 4.30pm
Year one - 4.30pm to 5.10pm

During each session, players will go through a series of 4 or 5 cricket based stations or challenges with an excellent ratio of coaches to players. They will be kept fully engaged at all times, and will be constantly moving, throwing, catching, bowling and batting. Children are kept very well entertained for 40 mins whilst learning the basics of the game. There are always plenty of high 5s, smiles and some prizes too!

We hope it gives the children a great first impression of the game – one they will fall in love with and move up through the colts age groups at CDCC and maybe even into adult cricket. Being part of our mini cricket programme automatically guarantees a place for your child in the first true age group (U7s) in the main colts section at CDCC come the appropriate time.
