For summer 2024, the under 8s are very fortunate to be lead by our new overseas pro player, Nimnaka Jayathilake.
Nimnaka is a young profession Sri-Lankan with huge potential in the game. He currently plays for Singhalese, in Columbo, which is the most successful professional side in Sri-Lankan domestic cricket.
During his short career, he has already broken the record for the most wickets take in a season for his side. A record previously held by international legend Muttiah Muralitharan!!
Nimnaka will not only make a difference to the performance of our first team but will really add value to our coaching team. He will be at training on Friday evenings, Tuesdays evenings (U13 / U15s) and Wednesday (Girls and ladies).
On Friday evenings Nimnaka and JALF will be supported by several assistant coaches all of whom have been through an internal "coach the coaches" training course run by Director of Cricket, Jon Stewart.
